Pennsylvania, Camping, and Birthday party... whew!

The week of the Memorial day, we took our yearly trip to visit Mark's family in PA. We were able to see a lot of old friends and family.

Grandpop, as usual, sent us to Sesame Place which has been a tradition for the past 4 years. This was probably our last year since McKenna will be 9 and the boys will be almost 7 next year.

They added Count's Splash Down, a new attraction that is like a waterworks with guns, hoses, buckets, pulleys, slides, and a 1,000 gallon bucket that dumps water every 3 minutes on whoever is underneath. It was very impressive.

Even though it was chilly, the kids spent hours at this one spot. Mark was brave enough to get in there with them but mommy needs it to be a little warmer than 65 degrees to be sprayed with freezing water.
But my favorite part was that McKenna and Caden were brave enough to ride the Vapor Trail, the only roller coaster in the park. Because school in PA doesn't end until June, we pretty much had the park to ourselves and we were able to ride over and over again. We called ourselves the "Ride Warriors" It's a memory I'll cherish always.

This past week, we went "to the mountain" to camp with our friends the Strothers on my parent's land. We went hiking to Burgess Falls, dad took the kids on 4 wheeler rides, and we had a camp out complete with bonfire, sing along, and smores. Very fun...

Half way through the 1.5 mile hike, Uncle Jay handed out "Power Pellets" (aka Good n Plenty) to give the kids energy to finish and pledge not to whine or complain the rest of the hike.

We finished well with only a few scrapes and scratches, except McKenna fell and lost her already very loose tooth. Right where she fell, there was a sign that read " Big Falls." We thought this was too funny, but she failed to see the amusement in it.
It was a very fun first camping experience and something I hope becomes a tradition.

Then on Saturday, we celebrated all 3 kids birthday with a party at our neighborhood pool. It was a blast.

And now I think I need to go take a nap... For some reason, I'm tired. But sooo happy :)
Life is good and relationships are what matter.
