We took the girls on a little field trip Tuesday to the Grand Ole Opry to see the Rocketts. I was amazed by their dancing. It was so precise and they moved flawlessly together. You can see how our girls were practicing their own high kicks during intermission.
It was a great show and at the end they closed the program with a beautiful live nativity. Scripture was read and also a poem about the solitary life of Christ. The neat thing about all of this is that morning in Bible, our scheduled reading was the birth of Christ. We had talked in detail about the events leading up to his birth and the circumstances into which He was born. We even discussed why we thought God would allow his precious, perfect Son to be born in a place where animals eat, sleep, and "do their business." We introduced the concept of humility to them. Seeing it live that afternoon added a richness to our morning lesson.
It's so cool when God takes the time to connect the threads of life together.
